Recipe: Vegan Hemp Pesto

Vegan Hemp PestoMaking hemp food isn’t always the easiest thing to do in a quick pinch and so last weekend I experimented with making a Vegan hemp Pesto that I could then use throughout the week in various other meals. By doing this I was incorporating hemp into my whole weeks diet instead of just a couple meals. I chose vegan hemp pesto due to the simplicity of the recipe as well as the variety of sandwiches, pizza, stir-fry etc. I can make with it. It was a huge success and thus I must share with you all the recipe of the week.

Vegan Hemp Pesto
Servings: 1 1/4 cups
Preparation Time: 15 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup hulled hemp seeds
  • 2/3 cup hemp oil
  • 3 to 4 large cloves of garlic
  • 1/2 cup nutritional yeast
  • 1 bunch fresh basil leaves
  • A pinch of salt

Directions:

Combine in a processor and pulse until coarsely blended.
