Everyone wakes up hungry for a healthy breakfast so why not do breakfast right with healthy hemp pancakes! Full of the nutritional awesomeness of the hemp plant. These can also be made with medicated marijuana oil if your doctor says you need an AM dose of medicine and yet want the health kick of hemp. Hemp pancakes can be enjoyed by the whole family as a nutritious jump start to the day! This recipe will make enough for a family of 4-5 and takes only 20-30 minutes in total to make.
- 1 cup of your favorite organic pancake mix
- 1/2 cup Organic Shelled Hempseed
- 1 egg (or 1/2 cup yogurt)
- 1 Tbsp Organic Hemp Oil
- 1 cup water (or soy milk)
Mix everything together in a large mixing bowl either with human power or a mixer. I prefer the child method and grab a kid for this stage and challenge them to make it a smooth consistent pourable, yet thick. Heat a skillet to medium-high in temperature testing it with drops of water (watching for them to steam). Then take a 1/2 or 3/4 measuring cup and pour into empty space on your pan and watch for bubbles. Flip when bubbles are consistent and pancake is solid enough to support the action. Remove from stove when color achieves your desired level of brown. Hemp pancakes are also great when let cool and tossed in a bag for a snack on the road!
